PACT

PACT logo
PACT is a monthly group for parents and carers with some individual additional support being given where necessary. Our vision is that they will be able to voice their needs in a safe and trusting environment and be supported by staff and their peers in accessing resources to help them in their life journey.

Parents/Carers who are involved with PACT will have the opportunity to meet others in similar situations, expanding their support network and helping to alleviate feelings of stress.

Our aim is that PACT attendees will have:
  • Improved mental health and wellbeing
  • Reduced isolation and loneliness
  • Encouragement to pursue a healthier lifestyle
  • Staff and peer support to confidently access other services
There are currently four PACT groups operating in Hamilton, East Kilbride, and Clydesdale. Activities so far have included; yoga, mindfulness, bowling, arts & crafts, walks and cinema trips, with much more in the planning!

There are volunteering opportunities available for PACT and if you would like to help parents and carers please get in touch to find out more, or see our volunteering roles page.

Referral Criteria

Our PACT support is open to parents/carers of young people (aged from eight years) who need additional support due to their own needs or the needs of their child; e.g. loneliness, isolation, disability, poor mental health or disadvantaged.

To refer yourself or someone else to PACT please call us on 01698 894013 or see our contact page for other details of how to get in touch.

"I'm so pleased I didn't bottle out this morning when I was in two minds about coming! The PACT group was just what I needed."
