1992 - COVEY is born! 1 July Community Volunteers Enabling Youth launched in Hamilton and Blantyre. COVEY wanted to make a difference and be a benefit to the lives and future of the young people and families who needed support. |

1998 - Clydesdale expansion - Lanark office established COVEY receives funding from the National Lottery to expand into the rural Clydesdale area to reach more young people. |

1999 - COVEY registers as a Company Limited by Guarantee Our Board and governance are established. |

2004 - Expansion of services South Lanarkshire Council include the provision of befriending in Clydesdale in our new contract. |

2009 - Values introduced We identified the values that we wanted COVEY to be known by and for our team to demonstrate in their professional lives: Commitment | Openness | Respect | Innovation | Passion |

2010 - Expansion of services South Lanarkshire Council include the provision of befriending in East Kilbride in our new contract. |

2011 - New Logo Our new logo was introduced to reflect our values and what we do - adding colour to lives. Each coloured spot represents a value with respect at the centre. |

2014 - Pathways to Confidence - a new partnership and direction Working in partnership with Bellshill and Mossend YMCA We expand our focus to the whole family, taking a holistic approach to the challenges that can adversely affect someone's life. |

2014 - Name Change To reflect the expansion of our mission to support adults we changed our name to Community Volunteers Enabling YOU. |

2017 - 25th Anniversary We celebrated 25 years of supporting children, young people and their families with a variety of events and the introduction of our anniversary logo. |

2018 - Expansion of services South Lanarkshire Council include the provision of befriending in Cambuslang/Rutherglen in our new contract. |

2020 Continued expansion in North Lanarkshire and responding to COVID-19. Our work with parent/carers has grown and we had our first very successful virtual AGM. |

2021 This year 2020/21 has been a year like no other, as everyone adapted to connecting virtually and embraced a whole new way of living and working. The recurring theme throughout this year for COVEY was how we continued to add colour to lives in new and innovative ways. |

Throughout our history we have developed and grown and taken on new projects. Some of these projects have been provided for a limited period of time which has been determined by the presenting need in our communities or resources available.
